Separating siblings, brothers and sisters, can have an awful affect on an adoptive child’s life. It is very sad in a situation where there are siblings available for adoption and one of the children gets a permanent home and the rest are left behind. This can affect the adoptive child emotionally and psychologically. Especially if the adoption involves an older child who completely understands what is happening. Certainly the adopted child would have mixed emotions.

It’s always lovely to get to the first Christmas with your new born baby whether he is nearly one or just one week! If it’s your first baby then it’s your first Christmas as a family. It’s a real celebration and one that gets better every year as your child grows up and starts to understand the Santa Clause experience.

When dad and mom decide that they can no longer persevere together, this does not of course mean that either of them loves their children any less. In fact, relationship breakdown tends to deepen the love parents have for their little one, and it brings out the protective instincts in both mom and dad.

Almost all pregnant mothers in US hospitals get Ultrasounds, as it helps doctors monitor the progress of the fetus to insure everything is going well. Some scientists have speculated that ultrasounds cause autism, which is potentially plausible because in the early formation of the human brain, it is beginning to make its connections.

Teen fiction, YA Lit, Teeny Bopper Novels…your young adult has their very own reading realm. Some parents feel excluded from their child’s reading time. And this is understandable. There is just something off-putting about attempting to have a conversation with someone who has to glance up from the pages of a book after a lengthy pause each time you ask a question or throw out a comment.
