Now that the hectic holidays are coming to an end, it is time for another annual tradition: New Year’s resolutions. In addition to the ones that seem to pop up every year (at least for me!), why not add one this year to teach your kids about money?

I’ve known for some time that my daughter at the ripe old age of 8 is a saver. But it really struck me as the Christmas presents were opened how that trait really showed itself. My 9-year-old niece wanted the cash register with the scanner and credit card while my daughter wanted the same company’s ATM bank that scans cash and gives a running balance. One child is a spender and one is a saver. Does it really matter that you know where your child fits? And how do you figure that out?

A world of the girl child is full of love, warmth and concern. She is the procreator and the mother of tomorrow. She is the one who shapes the destiny of civilization and imparts values and virtues to the future. Unfortunately this beautiful world is gloomy and filled with despair. The color of innocence is ironically transforming into color of suppression. This beautiful creation of God has become the gravest concern today. Her world is filled with despair and she is left alone on a barren land searching for a warm touch, mother’s love and father’s lullaby.

Kids learn by finishing what they start. Helping kids realize the value of doing what you say you’re going to do is a valuable life lesson that all parents should strive to teach their children. Commitment, hard work, and not giving up when things get tough are essential to survival and success

An important decision parents have to make is giving their new born child a special name. It is a big decision because parents or soon-to-be parents have to remember that the child will live with the name they chose, forever. By choosing a name which flows well with the surname and which is easy to pronounce, makes life a little better for the child during his growing up years. Try to avoid unnecessary long names.

Since children learn best by doing, it’s important to include a number of preschool games along with each thematic unit. While these preschool games are intended for teaching the alphabet, specifically the letters B and C, they can easily be adapted into other units on family, animals, or the circus.
